Are You Election Ready?

Election day is Tuesday, November 7

Tuesday, November 7, is the general election. Have you made a plan to vote? Ballots for all active voters registered in Archuleta County will be mailed starting next week. Be on the lookout for your ballot to arrive in your mailbox soon.

If you are not registered to vote in Colorado, there’s still time to register. Visit www.govotecolorado.gov to check your voter status, update personal information or register to vote.

Once you’ve filled out your ballot, there are two ways to return your completed ballot by the 7:00 p.m. election day (Nov. 7) deadline:

  1. Place it in a secure drop box: The nearest ballot box is located at the Old Courthouse, 449 San Juan Street in Pagosa Springs. The drop box is located outside on the sidewalk near the flagpoles. The drop box is open 24/7 from Oct. 30 until 7:00 p.m. on Nov. 7.
  2. Mail it: Include the appropriate postage and return your ballot by mail to Archuleta County, PO Box 2589, Pagosa Springs, CO 801147. Your ballot must be received by 7:00 p.m. on Nov. 7.

Voter Service and Polling Centers

The Voter Service and Polling Center (VSPC) will open on Oct. 30 and will be staffed from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and Saturday, November 4 from 8:00 a.m. to noon. If you require voter assistance, the VSPC offers Archuleta County residents the opportunity to:

  • Register to vote or update your voter registration
  • Replace a ballot or drop off a voted ballot
  • Vote in person
  • Use an ADA-accessible voting machine

On election day only, two VSPC locations will operate from 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. This includes the Elections Office at 449 San Juan Street (behind the old courthouse) and the Pagosa Lakes Property Owners Association (PLPOA Clubhouse) at 230 Port Ave. in Pagosa Springs.
