Town Council

The Town of Pagosa Springs is a Home Rule Municipality governed by its Home Rule Charter. The Town is a Council-Manager form of government. The Town Council provides policy direction to Town staff, enacts laws, adopts a budget and has the power of appointment over the Town Manager, Town Attorney, and Municipal Court Judge. The Town Council Budget is used to account for all of the direct expenses of the Mayor and the Council and to fund special projects originating from the Council.

All Council Members are elected on a non-partisan basis for terms of four years with a two term limit. The Mayor is paid $300 per month, all Council Members are paid $200 per month.
